Devendra Shelar is a computational scientist. He is currently working as a Postdoctoral Associate at MIT, and is affiliated with Laboratory for Information and Decision Systems and Civil & Environmental Engineering.
Devendra graduated with his Ph.D. in the Computational Science and Engineering program at MIT in 2019. Prior to this, he received his B. Tech and M. Tech degrees in Computer Science and Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay, India (2012), and degree of M.S. in Transportation at MIT in 2016. At MIT, his research focus primarily focused on developing resilient control algorithms for power systems against extreme weather events as well as cyber and physical security attacks. While being a co-instructor in an undergraduate course “From analog circuits to zero/low carbon grids,” he gained experience in developing modular and structured course material and delivering lectures in a competent manner. His hobbies include running and playing Ultimate Frisbee.
