Comm Lab Fellow
Hannah is a graduate student in Mechanical Engineering. After graduating from Brown University in 2014, Hannah worked at Draper Laboratory designing and building microelectronics before coming to MIT in 2018. Her master’s research in the Global Engineering and Research Lab focused on untangling the techno-economic constraints of designing efficient in-home water purification systems for urban India. For her PhD, Hannah is working in mechanics researching cavitation in viscoelastic materials and is supported by an NDSEG fellowship. In working in India and with government funders, Hannah has seen just how important clear scientific communication is. Hannah is excited to help CommLab clients craft their work to be compelling and understandable to whoever their audience is.
Hannah came to MIT with a satellite in space (brownspace.org/equisat/) and enjoys climbing in her time outside of lab.
